Commemorative cross of the Italian First Army issued for the fighters who had fought, during WW1, in this unit. The Medal, issued in 1924, consists of a greek cross with arms white enamelled and gold rimmed, ending each with a gold "Iron Crown". In the centre there is a violet enamel circle on which is represented a roe in gold on a mountain top. On the horizontal cross arms, in gold, are engraved the words "FIRST ARMY". The cross, showed here, is slightly bombè and, on the reverse, is present the manufacturer's trademark "Fassino" and the inscription "From the Stelvio to the highlands 1915-1918".
