Gray-green visor cap pattern 1934 belonged to a Colonel doctor. The italian Medical Corps boasts ancient traditions, although its official constitution dates back to 1833 when the king Carlo Alberto created it in support of the Army of the Kingdom of Sardinia (Regno di Sardegna). Front badge embroidered with crossed Esculapio sticks, star with red cross on white field and royal crown. Colonel rank with regular red piping. The chin-straps buttons are consistent. Marked internally with Savoy eagle. Produced by the Unione Militare in Rome. Good conditions, traces of oxidation, “sign of time”.
