Basque, in typical sugar paper-coloured cloth of the Italian Airforce in WW2, belonged to a Daring (Ardito) Paratrooper of the R.S.I. The badge, embroidered in rayon yellow, is that for the Italian Royal Airforce ranks. The Royal Crown was excised to emphasize how the soldiers of R.S.I. were no longer obliged to keep the oath to the King. The interior is lined with canvas in similar color to the outer cloth. Size medium. Splendid conditions for a very rare piece.
